I'm not sure if you've noticed, but the United States of America have become a joke. We owe more than 13 trillion dollars in debt, are trying to become the World Police, and are being controlled by people in suits who seem to be more interested in making money than representing the people who "elect" them. Oh, and by "elect", I of course mean promising big corporations favors in return for money.
This has inspired me to try and start a movement a la "The Gospel According to Larry". Granted, I probably won't have to do everything Josh did, but getting the word out is a start.
I'll check in from time to time to post news and other things that detail how messed up my country (the USA) has become. Hopefully someone will take notice. If one more person votes or stands up for his or her views, all the better. It only takes one to blaze a trail.
Today's topic: the National Debt.
George W. Bush did a great job of up-screwing our finances. (Ironic, as he graduated with a Master's degree in Business.) We now owe over 13 trillion dollars and that figure is growing by the minute. The 5:30PM news frequently reports that we are lending money to other countries and corporations.
What money?
It's my belief that if you don't spend money you don't have, you don't have to worry about huge amounts of debt. Then again, we're talking about POLITICS.
